West Hall is a beautiful dorm. You get your own bedroom which is really nice and the bathrooms are brand new so you don't have to worry about lime and such. There is a floor kitchen, washers and driers, the cafeteria is downstairs and so is the gym, a few dance studios, and a blackbox theater. There is also a parking garage attached but freshmen can't have cars.

You have to take the Vern Express, but otherwise, you can't really beat it. The kitchens are beautiful, but people don't like to take care of them and thus, they always look gross.

West Hall is brand new. We are the first class(es) to live in it. Each quad has four singles sharing a double-vanity bathroom. The rooms are clean and carpeted. We also share a full-sized fridge and cabinet space. The only downside is the communal kitchen. I am a sophomore and had hoped to (finally) enjoy my own kitchen. Not the case. The commute to Foggy Bottom may be a pain, but I don't mind it at all.

West Hall is beautiful, clean, and spacious. I love having my own bedroom and a shared living space - it's the perfect amount of privacy without getting to lonely. West Hall is super convenient while on the Mount Vernon campus (the main dining hall, fitness centre, and theatre are all in the building). Living here has seen an improvement in my GPA, but at the expense of my social life. I would not suggest living on the Mount Vernon Campus to anyone, but if someone were set on doing so, I'd strongly suggest West Hall.

If you are willing to regularly wait in traffic on the Vern Express, then you can't get a cheaper single bedroom, for person suite for less in the district.

Other than being on the Vern, this place is amazing. Lack of kitchen in room is annoying but there's a huge group kitchen on each floor.

The dorm is very new, but each room is very tiny.

The great thing about this dorm is that you get your own room, even if you share a common area with three other roommates. The kitchens are well-equipped, but do not forget to actually take care of them. When I got there, which is when it opened, the kitchens were new; now they (at least the one on the 4th floor, but I bet the others are similar) look as if they were years old because people do not take care of them. Spills are just left there and dishes are left there, adding substantially to the clutter. Just pick up after yourself and your Pelham (or sorry, West) Hall experience will be great. Not to mention that the cafeteria is right inside the building, as is one of the two gyms and package and mail services. Even if it's on the Vern, it's worth living there for a year.

A great place for Freshman who are not yet able to adapt to city life on Foggy Bottom. Not so great for everyone else. The fact that it is a brand new dorm is great because nothing is falling apart. The layout is quite odd, and ease of accessing amenities in the building can be quite confusing and inconvenient. But it's definitely an added bonus to have your own single bedroom!
